We exist to be a culturally diverse church that shares the life-changing teachings of Jesus through a ministry of house churches throughout the Tampa Bay Area.
All living things experience the process of birth and growth. Our spiritual lives are no different. While the spiritual birth is essential for salvation, it is our spiritual growth that will keep us firm in our faith and pressing on toward heaven. Join Jeff Chacon today as he discusses the need to go on to spiritual maturity.
Going to teen camp this summer was exciting! I was able spend a whole week with teens that have made the decision to follow God as well as others who are beginning to get to know Him.
This is the second year that I have been able to attend the Florida Teen Camp and I felt that this year was different from the last. Closer friendships were formed while sharing our struggles and offering one another advice. It was completely different sharing with other teens that are following God. While most teens at school care only about sex and girls, teen camp offered an environment where we could get away and just have fun and spiritual conversations. The staff was incredible and provided many different activities and challenges. Bible classes were taught by amazing men of God such as Rich Bartoli, Jeff Chacon, and John Bringardner. With these and other great speakers I felt truly cared for as they shared the message of Jesus.
Because of the generosity of the Tampa Bay Church both my brother and I were able to go to teen camp this year. I want to thank the church for facilitating this opportunity to go and for all the individuals that made donations. Because of your sacrifice I was able to have an amazing time that will not be forgotten.
Individuals from the Tampa Bay Church share about the impact of our Summer Series and in reestablishing Jesus as Lord of their lives. As we close the series today please feel free to contact any of our members or staff with any help or questions in making Jesus the Lord of your life.
A proper perspective on where we stand in relation to God is often needed to regain a heart of worship. Join Gregg Eargle as he guides our hearts and minds to an understanding of true biblical worship in today's message entitled "Jesus is Lord of My Worship".
The Lifehouse Everything skit is somewhat of an internet phenomenon. A youtube search gives over 3,000 hits on variations of the same play. The reason for the popularity is because of the message it delivers. Using only pantomime and a very compelling song named Everything by the group Lifehouse, we see our Creator (God/Jesus) make man in his image. After some obvious bonding, man is separated from God by sin. Sin takes the shape of desire, drugs, alcohol, money, pride and death, all portrayed in the play very graphically.
After watching about 15 different versions, I decided to make it more personal and use a man as the main protagonist. So far it is the only one I have seen with a male perspective. So instead of God dancing with a female, we changed it to God playing catch with a male. Drugs, alcohol and money stayed the same. We did change a woman’s desire to be attractive with a man’s pride and desire to be powerful and independent.
Please enjoy the skit, don’t hold back the tears and let it move you as it has me.
The apostle Paul understood that every individual in the Church has a valuable gift or talent that is needed in the family of Christ. In today’s message, "Jesus is Lord of my Gifts", Jeff Chacon applies this teaching to our lives in hopes that we will examine and use the gifts which lie within us for Christ, as well as appreciate the gifts within others.
Today we kicked off a six month series for our parents of High School and Middle Schoolers entitled, “Project Connect”.
Those of us who were able to attend were excited about the opening lesson on “Why the Disconnect” with our teenagers, which reminded us that our teens are changing biologically and socially and so our parenting styles and ways of relating to them must change along with them.
Our parenting should slowly transform from primarily based on “authority” in their lives as toddlers to being primarily based on “influence” in their lives as emerging teens. This allows them to gradually achieve the independence that God designed for them to be developing as future adults, while maintaining the influence in their lives that they still need as children under our care.
The term investments often bring to mind a 401k or some other type of savings plan. However, far too often we don't take moments to invest in our spiritual growth. JC Smith helps us examine our hearts as he shares principles from the Bible on time and money. Take the opportunity today to re-prioritize your life as we hear lesson five in our Sizzlin' Summer Series entitled "Lord of My Time and Money".
Today we say goodbye to a beloved couple and integral part of our family, Rich and Amanda Bartoli. Join us as Rich delivers his farewell message. This message captures significant lessons he has learned while being a disciple of Christ and shows the beauty in "The Mural of God's Wisdom".
